RV rental add-onYour renter’s questions, answered before they call you.

Add RV Techy as an add-on in your booking checkout. When a renter buys it, you record the trip and they get a private link to Techy for the exact RV they rented, from the day before pick-up to the day after drop-off.

Standby tech hours: 9am to 5pm Eastern, Monday to Friday. Out of hours, your question waits for the next working morning.

How it works

Three steps, no new software.

You set the price on your own platform, and the renter pays you there. Wheelbase hosts can create their own add-ons, and RVshare owners set their own add-on prices (RVshare). We bill you once a month for the trips you recorded.

  • Create an “RV tech help” add-on in your booking platform’s checkout, at the price you choose.
  • When a renter buys it, record their trip in your RV Techy account: the RV, the dates and their email. It takes about half a minute.
  • When you give their email, we send them their link. They ask in plain words, out loud or typed, and get steps from that RV’s manuals with the page.

Why hosts add it

Roadside covers the road. The fridge question still comes to you.

Renters already buy help in your checkout. On Wheelbase, Coach-Net roadside assistance is $9 a night, charged to the guest, and hosts may add a premium on top (Wheelbase). It includes a phone hotline for operating questions. Its mobile mechanic leaves out cabin, appliance and house-system faults, and parts and labour are never covered (Outdoorsy Help). So when a water heater won’t light at a campground at night, a general hotline doesn’t know your unit, and the next call is to you. RV Techy answers from that unit’s own manuals, any hour, and hands anything it can’t answer to a person. It sits next to roadside in your checkout, not in place of it.

What the renter gets

The same app our owners use.

Their link opens Techy for the RV on their trip. Nothing to install and no account to make.

  • Steps from that RV’s own manuals, with the page they came from, that they can tick off.
  • Ask out loud, and hear the answer read back.
  • Gas, smoke, fire and brake questions get the stop-and-do-this-first safety steps at once, before anything else.
  • Ask a tech: a real RV tech picks up what the manuals can’t answer. You see those questions too.

Questions people ask

What does it cost a host?

$15 per renter trip, billed monthly, whatever the trip’s length. You set the renter’s price. We suggest $29 a trip, the same as our own shortest pass, and you keep the difference. A trip you cancel before it starts costs nothing.

Which booking platforms does it work with?

Any platform that lets you sell your own add-on. You record each trip in your RV Techy account. Booking software can also send us trips through our partner API; tell us which one you use.

What happens after drop-off?

The link works through the day after drop-off, then stops. If you cancel a trip before it starts, you aren’t billed for it.

What if we don’t have the manuals for a unit?

Add the unit in your account and attach its manuals there: a PDF file or a link to one. Until a manual is ready, Techy says the manuals don’t cover the question, and the safety steps and Ask a tech still work.
