Gas, smoke, power, brakes. Techy doesn’t guess.

Questions about propane, carbon monoxide, fire, mains power, brakes or towing are stopped in code before any AI sees them. The reply is the steps to get safe, and the case goes to a person, marked urgent.

Why it matters

A headache can be the warning.

The CDC says more than 400 Americans die each year from unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning not linked to fires, and lists headache, dizziness and an upset stomach among the most common symptoms. Someone in an RV might ask about a headache before they think of the furnace. So Techy treats those words, next to an alarm or a smell, as a reason to stop: everyone out into fresh air, then 911.

How it works

Stopped before any AI sees it.

The check runs on the phone and again on our server, so it works with no signal, and in any app that uses Techy. It is written as rules in code, not as a request to an AI, so it can’t be talked out of it.

  • Gas: get out, don’t touch switches, close the tank only if it’s safe.
  • Carbon monoxide or fire: everyone out, doors open, then 911.
  • Mains power: don’t touch the RV, switch off at the post, then unplug.
  • Towing and brakes: steady the rig, pull over safely, don’t tow on.

Questions people ask

Has a safety professional reviewed it?

Not yet. We will have it reviewed before renters use Techy directly, and say so here when it is.

Does Techy replace calling 911?

No. Its safety replies tell you to call 911 first whenever there is smoke, fire, a gas smell or anyone feeling unwell.
